In addition to the many group photos that can be assumed to be family photos, the Bessie Miller Collection includes some examples of photos of groups of school children, shown below.
Group Photo 1: A group of students dressed in costumes is posed in front of a school building. Costumes include native american dress and sailors. There is no information on when or where this photo was taken, or for what event or occasion. However, it is clear from the number of students and elaborate costuming that it was a significant event. This photo also has been removed from the scrapbook, as indicated by the black paper hanging off the edges.
Group Photo 2: A group of students wearing uniforms, apparently taken on school grounds. Again, no information is available regarding when or where this photo was taken. This photo had not been pasted into the scrapbook, but is mounted in a heavy cardstock frame.
